TEDx Newburgh: Live is a Divine Dance

Listen to Phoebe as she uses movement and words to explore how life invites us to dance into the most authentic version of ourselves. Yoga teacher and founder of nOMad always at OM, Phoebe shares her personal story of loss and how the obstacles set on her path greatly shifted her perspective. Dance performed by Dante Puleio and Phoebe Miller. Music by Samantha Fulton and Corinna Ricard-Farzan. Phoebe Miller is a yoga teacher and founder of nOMad always at OM. Since 2015, nOMad has offered yoga events, retreats, and trainings with its mission to bring more joy, gratitude confidence, and connection in our world through new experiences. Phoebe was a dancer in New York City. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

Our Body Knows: Unpack The Stories To Become Embodied & Empowered

2 min clip. This talk can formatted between 10-30 minutes.

See and experience the body in a new way on an energetic level to begin to liberate the old stories you carry. Phoebe shares her personal story that led her to understand how to decode her body's messages. Phoebe gives YOU an opportunity to listen to your own body and the stories it shares with you.

Key takeaways: Go beyond mindset and become more aware and embodied. Our body is sharing messages through sensations, emotions, and if we don’t listen, we become dis-eased. The power of presence will re-pattern our minds, nervous system, and how we experience your world.

More About Phoebe

These are some of the questions presenters and podcast hosts most frequently ask me:

Why do you speak?

I love it! I feel called to make a big impact on our world by guiding people to a deeper experience of themselves to have a greater sense of belonging and purpose.

I absolutely love the energy of speaking and teaching groups. There is a co-creative energy that can not be denied and if I can use my voice and movement to inspire others, then sign me up!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to what you speak about?

I have been a teacher for over 20 years. My training has been based in various movement practices; yoga (500 E-RYT), dance (BFA from University of the Arts), various formal/informal studies of somatic therapies for trauma, and trauma informed training programs.

What types of communities have you worked with?

I work with a wide range of clients from corporate settings (ie. current ongoing client: Regeneron) to community/non-profit organizations (ie. Veteran's Yoga Project, guest speaker.)

I especially love to speak with communities that represent trauma recovery, grief, addiction recovery,  and veterans. These talks are based on the stories and teachings in my book, Dear Radiant One that can be available to share with your community.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was a performer and dancer in New York City for many years that ignited the spark to be on stages as a speaker. I love to connect with people as a way of facilitating inspiration, transformation, embodiment, and empowerment.

I have been in front of audiences that range from small intimate groups to over 10,000 people  and everything in between since 1999.

“Phoebe's talk was equally informative and engaging as it was honest and heartfelt - her message was exactly what I needed to hear and receive that day. I firmly believe that in order to live and move through this world fearlessly and unapologetically (especially as a woman) is to have unwavering trust in our own intuition, and that begins with listening to our bodies and the messages they send us. When we are able to create the space for our whole selves to be witnessed we have the ability to reclaim our power and Phoebe gave us all an opportunity to be reminded of that choice.”
